Perfectly preserved hand of a very mythical beast, the Megatherium.
Megatherium is an extinct genus of mammals, and the best-known representative of the ground sloth. These herbivores were up to six meters long, two meters high at the hip and weighed up to 3.8 tons. They lived in Central America and the southern United States. There are six types described of which Megatherium americanum was the largest (larger than a mammoth).
This hand is all natural as found, no restorations.
Remarque:Due to restrictions (corona virus) we did not yet manage to finish the stand. The hand is fitted on the stand but the claws are currently held in place with rubber bands. We plan to finish the stand shortly.
